AD ASTRA Group (the 'Company'), founded in 2005, is an international marketer, distributor, and physical trader of oil & petrochemical products with a new natural gas business stream starting 2019. The company started its activity exporting from Petrom refinery (Romania's largest company and Eastern Europe's largest oil & gas producer, part of OMV Group) various oil products (diesel, fuel oil, etc), following importing and domestically distributing refined products in short demand on the Romanian market. In 2011, the Company started local distribution of LPG via RTCs based on product supply from Rompetrol refinery (#2 Romanian oil company, part of KazMunayGas Group).
Following the establishment in 2003 of the local trading presence, Ad Astra managed its international operations as a principal physical trader by opening the Maltese office in 2005 and attracting valuable oil professionals part of the team led by Mr. Eng. Marius D. Argherie, ex-Petrom Manager with more than 22 years experience in oil trading.
